libsmi2-common software package provides library to access SMI MIB information - MIB module files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libsmi2-common
libsmi2-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libsmi2-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libsmi2-common *
You will get with libsmi2-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
